MCTX Sheriff Detectives arrest suspected precious metals thiefMCTX Sheriff Detectives arrest suspected precious metals thief!On 7/6/22, Detectives with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office served an arrest warrant for 30-year-old Justin Johnson at a local hotel in Porter. This arrest was the result of an investigation of theft of precious metals (air conditioners). Authorities believe Johnson is also a suspect in numerous copper thefts from construction sites in the area. A search warrant was executed at his motel room as well. This investigation is ongoing.Johnson was transported to the Montgomery County Jail where he was booked on an arrest warrant for Theft of Precious Metals and was also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
