MCSO Stolen Vehicle Pursuit Ended with PIT Maneuver Near Kingwood Drive
Two people were arrested after a stolen vehicle investigation led to a pursuit near Interstate 59 and Kingwood Drive, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office. MCSO said deputies with the Crime Reduction Unit were alerted to a reported stolen vehicle around midnight on July 25th, 2026. Deputies located the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop, but the driver allegedly accelerated and tried to evade law enforcement.
Authorities said deputies used a PIT maneuver to safely stop the vehicle and end the pursuit. Both occupants were taken into custody without further incident. The driver was identified as 20-year-old Ethan Holloway. He was arrested and charged with two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Carry of a Weapon and Evading in a Motor Vehicle, according to MCSO. The passenger, identified as 18-year-old Mateo Hatcher, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. Both were booked into the Montgomery County Jail.
An arrest and charge are allegations, and the case will proceed through the legal process.
