Lunch at BB's

Sweetie : True! I was surprised that Chuys has not raised their prices in quite a few years which in itself....is a treat! LOL~!

Bloom :
There are times I wish I weren't allergic to shellfish. I really miss eating fried shrimp. So good. I'll never be able to eat lobster or crawfish. Sigh 😔

garfieldgurl : My daughter is allergic to shellfish too. It makes it hard to eat out at some places. She's careful to ask if they fry everything in the same oil.

Bloom: my friends are always concerned about me when I tell them I go to sushi restaurants and don't have an EPI pen 😆. I tell them I just don't eat the shrimp or crab, even imitation crab. I also always ask the servers for clarification on ingredients. I get a little discomfort with cross contamination but not in danger, compared to eating the actual food.

Oh wow that looks really good! I have never had that before there. Maybe I need to try it next time. I need to snag a gift card for there.

Weathergirl5 : Keep in mind - that's half of the order. Hubby & I split it. Anyone would have to be really hungry to eat all of that.

Very true. I love it when I get a big portion at restaurants. Most of the time I save part of it and bring it home for another meal. That helps stretch my dollar too. I am more likely to spend $20 on lunch if I know I can get two meals out of it because then it breaks down to about $10 a lunch.

Just a few years ago, the 2 of us could eat at most of our favorite places for around $20. Not now!

Yes I agree. I could usually find something decent on the menu for under $10, but now not so much. It really limits the times I go out to eat. Everything is so expensive and that why I mostly order water now when I do go out to eat.
