We've had a busy morning so lunch was at BB's today. It's one of our favorite places. I used the card I won during the NCDC Father's day event, and have some left on it. DH & I split the fried seafood meal - fish, shrimp, oysters. Crawfish, fries, hushpuppies, and cole slaw. So good!

Bloom : Looks good! Nice to have a little left on the card when finished dining too.

Sweetie : This is my hubby's favorite item there, but it's too much food , so we share. I actually prefer the Shrimp & grits, but this is good too.

Bloom : Last time I was there I got the shrimp poboy and gumbo. I thought I would get half of a shrimp poboy, but it was the whole thing plus the gumbo so I was able to bring half the shrimp poboy home. They do give you a lot of food. My DD loves their fried pickles.

BloomSweetie : I've not had the fried pickles. For appetizer, I like the chips and that french sounding dip they give. They even give it on carry out too.

Cbear : it seems like the chips & dip is a hit or miss. The last time we were there, they didn't serve it. None of the other tables had it either. But they did serve it today.

Bloom : Yep. I went to get a carry out and looked into the bag and didn't see it. It just so happens that the manager was on duty so, I flagged him over to ask if that had stopped and he looked in the bag and said "No you should get that" and went in to the kitchen to get it ready. While I was waiting he told me the name of it and of course I cannot remember. I told him that it is soooo good. It is beans, sausage, cheese and cajun spice. He agreed. Next time I go and get a carry out or dine in with my DD..I am going to ask if they don't serve it. I am not afraid to speak up. Also, I love their Mac n cheese which I normally don't eat but..theirs is quite good. I once ordered a large on the phone and when I got there it was a small. They said that is the only size. I asked a waiter nearby and he said that you have to specify large and though it is not on the menu, they will make it for you. I get 3 meals out of the large!

Bloom : I wanted to go today after DD went to Home Depot to get mulch, etc for her house but she wanted Chuys. I am such a pushover!
