Hope rain doesn't mess up VR 4th Fest!

Bloom : Looks like we are in the clear for now and hopefully the rest of the night.

Cbear : Hope so! Lots of people are planning to enjoy the fireworks tonight.

Bloom : Are y'all going?

Cbear : No, we're way past that now. We used to go with DD & her family when the kids were little & loved it. My DH is having to use a walker even in the house now, so we're pretty limited on our outings these days.

Bloom : Oh I get that. I am pretty over it too. I peeked out my kitchen window last night and it was pretty but...I don't like driving at night, then there is parking and the mass exodus.....just not really worth it.

Bloom :
We went there around 8pm just to check it out and see if we could see vendor friends. The vendors used to be right on the street but this year, they were all moved to the dirt. Since it rained a bit earlier that day, the areas where there were no grass were muddy. It was so packed, I almost felt claustrophobic. The aisles between vendors weren't large enough for people to shop and walk by. We spent about half hour walking there, then walked back home. When I heard the fireworks start, I was pleasantly surprised to see they moved the launch location because in years past, I couldn't see them because of my neighbors dense trees blocking the view. But this year, it got moved so I could clearly see fireworks from our back porch. The only obstruction were the trunks of our pine trees. Watching the fireworks from our back porch was nice 😁
