Hello! My name is Phogan.
A little about me: We're moving there next week from NC! Tell me, the good, the bad and the ugly. What bugs should I be aware of for my pets?

Hello, and welcome! To sum up the good, bad, and ugly - the good outweighs it all. This is a great area! We're close enough to the city, but far enough to not deal with the big city daily. Most folks agree that local housing is less expensive than other parts of the country. The only bad/ugly that I see is traffic and dealing with hurricane season. But if you're from NC, you should be used to hurricanes. As for bugs, well, plan to have a pest control plan. Lots of little critters thrive in this climate. I don't have pets, but understand that fleas can be a problem. I think most folks get supplies from their vet for that. Welcome again, and hope you feel at home soon!

Based on where you are coming from, you may be kinda used to heat, but it's a whole different kinda hot down here!! As far as bugs, mosquitoes and flies are my worst enemies!!🤣 other than that, this a great area, as this is a FANTASTIC group to be a part of!!!
