@Bloom , I'm finishing off this miserable month with a pair of medical appointments today -- a retina specialist and an oral surgeon. I think it's safe to say that my problems are all in my head. They're both 20+ miles from home, but only a few blocks apart.

That does not sound like a fun day. Hope the appointments go well and that you don't have to deal with terrible traffic. I'm sure you have some beer in the fridge waiting for you when you get home.
