Driver with Children Arrested for DWI in Splendora

Driver with Children Arrested for DWI in SplendoraSplendora Police Departments DWI Unit conducted a traffic stop on FM 2090 for speeding. During the officers initially contact with the driver, the officer detected an odor of an Alcoholic Beverage emitting from the driver. In the vehicle with the driver was a four (4) children. After a roadside investigation, the driver was found not to be in a condition to continue operating a motor vehicle and was placed into custody for Driving While Intoxicated/ with Child. Ultimately, the children were released to a sober adult and the driver was taken to Montgomery County Jail.
