Copper Theft Busted Near Grand Parkway! 
On September 16, Pct. 4 Deputies arrested two suspects from New Caney after a citizen reported a theft in progress near SH 99 and FM 1485 E. Deputies found Kerry Crenshaw Jr. (35) loading copper wire into a red Toyota Camry. Danielle Brown (31) fled on foot but was caught shortly after in a wooded area. TxDOT estimates the theft involved approximately $5,000 worth of copper wire and caused around $10,000 in damage to electrical boxes. Crenshaw and Brown are both charged with felony theft of metal. Brown also faces a misdemeanor charge for evading arrest.

Weathergirl5 : Someone stole the copper from the air conditioners for BOTH houses when we had our property in East Texas on the market. It was way out in the country, no close neighbors. The realtor discovered it. Luckily, our insurance covered some of the loss. We didn't replace, but made allowance to the buyers when sold.
