Constables Arrest Suspicious Man Near New Caney Daycare and School 
On Thursday, August 28th, Montgomery County constables responded to a call from Rocking Horse Daycare on FM 1485 in New Caney about a man acting erratically in the parking lot. Out of caution, both the daycare and a New Caney Elementary School were placed on lockdown.
When constables approached the suspect, identified as Jeffrey Turpin, he became combative. Backup arrived quickly from NCISD Police and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, and officers were able to safely detain him before he could enter either campus.
Turpin is now facing several felony charges, including resisting arrest, assault on a peace officer, and possession of a controlled substance.
Thanks to the fast response of multiple agencies, children and staff remained safe.
