Unfortunately, there’s a lot of scam artists out there trying to take advantage of folks during these trying times.
No legitimate company is going to ask for log in information, account numbers, personal identification information, etc.

Be very cautious what information you give out online or over the phone.
Also be cautious making local purchases online. If a seller is asking for money up front or in advance, be cautious doing business with them.

Be careful of contractors as well, including plumbers, repairmen, etc. Unfortunately there are those out there that will try to take advantage of people. Be wary of any contractor asking for payments up front, such as payments for supplies or services not yet provided, or up-charges for “priority” services.

I have quite a long contact list in my phone. If a call comes in and a name on my list isn't showing up, I don't answer, they can leave a message...

There are those scammers that phish others' phone numbers that are similar to yours. It's so annoying. And never answer a call because that'll make your phone "live" and the calls would increase. I don't know how true is that but I rather not chance it. I have 2 phones and one of them I use for work. I get so many spam texts and calls about someone offering lots for sales for cheap in the area... in Spanish 😒.
