Hi friends, long time no see! I've been very busy and hadn't had time to chat here. I got summoned for jury duty at the Bob Casey Federal Courthouse tomorrow at 7:45am ðŸ˜. Has anyone done this recently? I'm just trying to figure out parking and about to do a search to see which one is better but wanted to see if anyone has any advice. Thanks!

garfieldgurl : Sorry, I'm no help since I've never done that. If I had, I would have checked into riding the Metro bus. I believe it's free when you have jury duty. Best wishes to you to make it as simple as you can.

Bloom : I asked a friend and he suggested the same thing but he lives in the Heights area. I drove to the Townsend Park & Ride and it was an easy ride and a 2-blocks walk from the bus stop to the courthouse. I'm glad it was so easy. I had anxiety last night and couldn't sleep well. I got dismissed but still need to check in every day until next Monday. One of the dismissed jurors lives in Kingwood, so we rode the bus back together 😊.
No jury advice here. The last time I went I got in trouble for answering "Yada yada yada" to the "Do you solemnly swear..." Now I'm too old and curmudgeonly, so they no longer call me.

garfieldgurl : I'm so glad the bus was a good experience for you. That drive into the city can be nerve racking! My son-in-law takes the bus to work everyday. It allows them to get by with one car, and he doesn't have to drive. Win, win!
