Humble Bacon festival is today!

Sounds like a fun event! I wonder how may will enter the hog calling contest...

Cbear : What is it that makes bacon humble?

Bloom : Not me. My DD and I are going to Home Depot to get quite a few bags of mulch and then she wants to go to Chuy's for lunch. Head to her house after that to unload the bags. I am NOT going to say and work outside to spread that mulch. Nope. She and her husband can do that. Still sounds weird to say "husband"! LOL~!

Enjoy your lunch! Hope they have fun spreading the mulch. It's so hot outside, & that stuff seems to hold heat when the bag is opened.

Bloom : Oh no ma'am....I am just the driver here! I took her and we loaded up the pallet cart with 8 bags, rain barrel and watering can. I went and pulled up the car to the door. We loaded the car, went for lunch, went home and unloaded the bags. She and DH can go out tomorrow and spread it. So I lifted 4 bags 3 times today!

Those bags of mulch are heavy! I've done that a few times, but no more!

Cbear : Those bags are heavy. I remember when my DH was alive and we would go to Lowe's and I would just see the lady that would help with the mulch bags straining.My dh will tell her no I'll get them and she said, but this is my job. He said well I'm buying it so that will relieve you of your job lol

Sweetie : Awwww how sweet. After a few lifts, I could feel it in the back of my legs. Thankfully, I am not sore today but it tells me that I really need to get in shape.

Bloom : It was challenging but I didn't want my DD to know. I have GOT to get in better shape!

Oh man... I missed it! We were busy on Saturday and then I had a market on Sunday. Oh well.

Ahorseofcourse : This is the first I ever heard of it even and I have lived here 23 years!
