so my friends and I went to lunch at Italianos s today. Of course the food was great. But the air conditioner wasn't cooling. We were sweating in there. They had the air people in there working on it. By the time we left, it was still no better. But at least the food was good and service was great.
Sweetie : Oh man that sucks for everyone! I know the workers were probably miserable too. I hope they get it fixed soon. I do love their food. You can't beat the lunch deal!! Their chicken marsala is so good!

Weathergirl5 : I haven't tried their chicken marsala. I'll have to do that. I don't think they have beal Marsala I'll have to check. I told you that Carrabas is no longer going to serve Veal Marsala after next month. That's my favorite dish there.

Sweetie : I hate the fact that Carrabbas is no longer going to serve the veal marsala. I love that dish. Italiano's and Carrabba's have very different marsala sauce. I like both of them, but in a different way. If you're expecting Carrabba's marsala sauce you will probably be disappointed. But I still think you should give Italiano's chicken marsala a try. If you like mushrooms, you will really like it. It has a lot of mushrooms in it.
Sweetie : Bummer that the AC wasn't working! That had to be a tough call for them on staying open or not. I bet the kitchen staff was miserable.
Bloom Sweetie : Me too. They give you lots of sauce and lots of mushrooms. I like Carrabba's marsala sauce too, but they are so chincy with the amount of sauce they give you at Carrabba's. Italiano's hooks you up!

Weathergirl5 : I will try it, but I think Carrabba it's just the best. I got it at Amadeo's one time and the meat was so tough and it just did not have the same taste at all. And the gravy or sauce was just so watered down it was thin.

Cbear : The waitress didn't say. When I ordered it, she said oh and let me tell you we're supposed to advise all the customers tonight that after next month, we will not be serving veal at all. No veal any kind of way . I asked her why she said they didn't tell us. They just told us to tell the customers.
Sweetie : Oh I agree. Amedeo's does not have good chicken Marsala and they are light on their sauce too!
Weathergirl5 Veal Parmesan with angle hair pasta is my favorite dish at Italiano's... I've been getting it there for more years than I care mention. I hope they don't drop it.
Sweetie : Oh my goodness... and seeing how hot it's been lately, I can't imagine being inside a restaurant with so many people and feeling like a sauna 🥵

Weathergirl5 : Chicken Marsala is one of my fav dishes! I think I ordered that the last time we were there. My fav one is from Old Spaghetti Factory but they don't have any here in TX. What gives it the extra flavor I like is mizithra cheese. Any other place I order Chicken Marsala doesn't have that. It's still tasty, though. « Back to Chat
