Celebratory Gunfire Leads to Midnight Arrest in Roman Forest

Early morning arrest!
Humberto Tovar, 42, of Roman Forest was arrested for Aggravated Assault W/Deadly Weapon. Just after midnight, a neighbor confronted the defendant over celebratory gunfire when the defendant allegedly threatened the victim with a weapon.

Good job to all officers on scene, Officers Rawlinson, Nguyen, Ivett, Rippe and even Chief Stephen Carlisle.

Cbear : RF is only about 1 mile by 1 mile, so that guy probably lives within a mile from us. We probably heard his celebratory gunfire. Don't recognize him, though.

Oh, man... good thing he got caught. I saw a video where some people in Houston were shooting guns, semiauto rifles and other types up in the air but instead of being up towards the sky, they were shooting at an angle, above the roof of houses. Where do they think those bullets go? They surely don't just disappear! Every time I hear celebratory gun shots, I'm always scared one could hit our walls 😣.
