Constable Hayden's Teamwork Leads to Arrest of Wanted Felon
Constable Kenneth “Rowdy” Hayden, Pct. 4 Constable, Montgomery County, TX NEWS RELEASE
For Immediate Release – 10/20/2024
A True Teamwork Takedown Deputies with The Montgomery County Precinct Four Constables Office – Office of Constable Kenneth “Rowdy” Hayden arrested two males and a female following an investigation into a wanted felon who was known to be in the Porter area of Montgomery County, TX.
On October 19, 2024 just after 12 p.m., PCT. 4 Deputies acted on information gathered, which detailed a wanted male (Brice Karalis, 22) being in the area of Laurette Drive in Porter. Karalis who was wanted for 1st degree felony - Burglary of a Habitation with Intent to Commit Other Felony, was also listed as a violent offender and a threat to law enforcement. Due to the nature of Karalis and his charges, our Patrol Division enlisted the assistance of our drone team, The Humble Police Department’s drone team, our Specialized Response Team (SRT), and PCT. 4 K9’s “Vic” and “Joker.” During the course of the investigation, and after several hours of surveillance, PCT. 4 and Humble PD drones observed Karalis [identified by chest tattoos from prior booking photos] attempting to escape a residence off Laurette Drive, by hiding in a vehicle driven by two accomplices attempting to assist in his escape from capture. As the vehicle left the residence, PCT. 4 Deputies swiftly located the vehicle on Sorters Road, and conducted a high risk felony stop which resulted in Karalis being taken into custody, as well as one female and one male (Kellie Karalis, 48) (Chase May, 29) being arrested and charged with Hindering Apprehension of a Known Felon. Constable Hayden extends his appreciation to the dedicated members of Law Enforcement who took part in the apprehension of this violent felon, both in his agency, and our partner agencies. Our PCT. 4 Deputies are well trained in their respective specialized teams, and as seen in this incident, those skills prove to be invaluable at times during the course of our duties as law enforcement officers.
