@Sweetie : You would need a sligshot to get to the top. Maybe they just use it for storage. The person on the 2nd bunk could reach up and pull down the items.

If you look at the ladder you will notice you could not get to the second level either as the rungs on that one are iffy about connecting. This is something you would only find in a house built to murder one's children or something. Get them up there and then they can't get down. It is not really a real place one could actually live or do anything useful. This has to be a fantasy or AI creation. Its really awful when you actually look at it. Why do they have extra linens tossed about? The bookcases are not accessible. It would be a nightmare to have to clean. Only a monkey could want this room but he/she would soon poop all over it and nobody is cleaning that up - can't get up there.

Here's the sort of 3-decker berthing we "enjoyed" back in my Navy days. We had 60 guys in one compartment, and it wasn't nearly so roomy.
