@Jt88888888 : Absolutely! My DD's house flooded in Imelda. They had just done a lot of work on it, but didn't have flood insurance. After that, they now have flood insurance.

I carry it. I've never flooded but Thursday during the flash flood it was about 2 feet in rise from making it in from the street. Sure, I shouldn't flood but I know that if even an inch made it in it would cost me 20k+ most likely.I've worked in the flood world most of my life and I've seen it all. I wouldn't go without it

I had never been around a flooded house till my daughter's house flooded. The clean-up, the drying out, then having to deal with contractors - what a mess! Plus it was all out of pocket. They had lived there 20 years and never flooded before.
