I'm supposed to have some as long as job change doesn't cause issue. Might take a long weekend or two as well

Nothing planned now, and for the time being , probably not. DH's health is not good enough to plan any travel. We traveled quite a bit when we first retired, so I'm grateful for that. The trip to Niagara Falls was my favorite.

@Bloom : I'm sorry that travel is not a viable option right now. So glad that you guys got some traveling in earlier. We got to go to Niagara Falls. It was really amazing! Did you go down in the boat as well?

@botanylover : You do realize that the boat doesn't go *over* the falls, right?

@botanylover : We did - that was such fun! We also climbed the steps where it was very close to the falls, called Hurricane something. We rented a house on Lake Ontario and spent almost a week in the area with DS and his family.

@Bloom : Wow. You guys really experienced it!
We did the Maid of the Mist boat and looked at the falls from above. We did not do the steps that you mentioned.
I would enjoy going back. It was so majestic!

There was another feature that we wanted to do - don't remember the name of it - but we were too late to get tickets.

@botanylover : When I was little, my family did the Maid of the Mist boat ride. I was little and just remembered being cold! LOL!

My words of wisdom to new retirees is to do all the travel you want to do as soon as you can.

@Bloom : Yes, I think that is wise advice.

@Cbear : We were there 11 years ago and still have the ponchos - and still use them periodically. 😁

@botanylover : You mean the plastic ones you get to stay dry on the boat?

@Bloom : I agree. I sometimes see people retire and since they are less active...their health declines. Hot saying that about y'all mind you.
