Splendora High School Band Students Qualify for All-State Band

From Splendora igh School:
On Saturday, January 6th, the Splendora High School band sent 20 students to the ATSSB Area Auditions in Tyler, TX. This audition is used to determine the best musicians in the State of Texas, with music prepared by thousands of high school musicians throughout the fall semester. Making the All-State Band is the highest achievement an individual student musician can receive in Texas.
At this audition, Splendora High School had a record-breaking three students qualify for the 2024 ATSSB All-State Band! Earning 1st chair percussion and returning for his second year in the ATSSB All-State Band is Senior Raymond Gonzalez, earning 4th chair trumpet is Sophomore Brayden Hansen, and earning 1st chair flute is Senior Julio Mayo! In February, these students will travel to San Antonio to perform for thousands of music educators at the TMEA convention.
The band directors could not be more proud of the hard work and dedication of our students who auditioned this year.
