Splendora ISD Names Charles Rawls as Director of Child Nutritionfrom Splendora ISD:Splendora ISD is excited to announce that Charles Rawls has been selected as the Director of Child Nutrition! Mr. Rawls will take over for Nancy Montalbo, who accepted a position in another district.Charles Rawls began his career in child nutrition in 1999 at Aldine ISD at 18, after accepting what was supposed to be a temporary career path. But the business of child nutrition and feeding hungry children became his passion. After years of working through multiple levels of child nutrition management, he became an Area Supervisor and eventually took on the role of Operations Manager for Houston Independent School District's high schools. In 2012, Rawls accepted a position with Cybersoft Technologies-PrimeroEdge, where he led the Child Nutrition Software Implementation and Project Management Team and worked with child nutrition departments nationwide to implement child nutrition business operations and nutrition analysis software into their respective child nutrition programs. In January 2023, Rawls joined the Splendora ISD Child Nutrition Department as the Menu Planner Supervisor. Rawls is a member of the Texas Association for School Nutrition (TASN), National School Nutrition Association (SNA), and served as President of the Houston Association for School Nutrition in 2017. He has one daughter, Shelby, who recently graduated from high school.
