@Cbear : I don't have any pets now, but when I did, they never did well at all. I would set up a rocket and lay a match next to it. The pups would just walk around it. They never did figure out how to light the match, let alone the rocket...

@Cbear : No pets now, but I used to have a little poodle that would shake and hide under the bed.

@Cbear: My previous dog didn't do well but her last couple of years before she passed, she lost some of her hearing, which was a blessing for any time there were fireworks. Our Yorkie Bentley (based on what my hubs said) had never had issues with fireworks. Hubs said they never bothered him. I feel for all the dogs in my neighborhood that live outside, which is quite a lot of them. I

@garfieldgurl : In some instances, hearing loss is a blessing.

@Cbear: Ranger doesn't mind. My mom's dog has grave concerns but the funny snood thingy (supposed to work like a thundershirt plus block a little of the sound) did help. She stayed out on couch rather than putting herself away hiding in a corner. Yay!

(Getting her out to potty before bed was not an option tho.)

My dog doesn't care at all. Sometimes we watch smaller dog and he freaks out all night but the big one just sleeps and ignores it

@Jt88888888: wow! In my experience, the big dogs are the scared ones.

@Sweetie: She smiles a lot more than when she was first adopted, but "sad" is definitely her default expression. Not all bad; means people aren't scared of her. The snood thing worked pretty well!
