@jjjj : Yes I have been rather lucky recently. I'm very thankful though. They will come in handy next month when I'm docked pay for my next surgery. (I'm out of sick days) *sigh*

@Weathergirl5 : Ouch! Yes, for sure having some nice meals, and ones that don't require cooking, will be good. Does that mean you're doing the use-up-the-summer-with-healing thing after all, or is this a different one? Good luck in either case!

@jjjj : This is a different surgery I did not know I needed to have until recently. Met with the surgeon yesterday and looks like I'll be having it at the end of May. About five days in the hospital and then six weeks recovery. So pretty much most of summer will be spent recovering. I was hoping to get a second job over the summer to offset medical costs and because my current job doesn't pay me that much money but that is now out of the window.

@Weathergirl5 : Wow, sorry to read that! What a disappointment, to have to do the whole surgery/summer recovery thing and not even the one you were originally considering.I can't really offer help during the week, but if y'all need a weekend dropoff of anything during recovery, I may be able to assist. Or at least drop off a dozen fresh happy chicken eggs...
