New Valley Ranch Proposed Renderings

Signorelli has updated the proposed plans for the plot of land near Valley Ranch, at the Southwest corner of Valley Ranch Parkway and US 99.

The land was previously marketed as an Outlet mall that would be coming soon, and has now been changed to "Valley Ranch Marketplace," a retail shopping center.

Signorelli's updated marketing packet claims the new Marketplace center will include 1.5 million square feet of mixed-use retail, with anchor and junior anchor positions available.

Do we even have enough population to do this? At the present time the valley ranch looks like a big empty slab with stores that look like large boxes in the distance. Even if East Montgomery county can focus and bring this place up, what happens to our towns themselves [ Porter,New Caney, Splendora ]? I guess we can continue to stay complacent as we let them fall apart as we turn our heads and look the other way.

Just as a quick note, no major investment such as what is shown in these rendering is ever done by a big time investor without serious study. These folks look at an areas expected population growth, income in the area. Expected population income and discretionary spending income of the new and existing population. These folks have a growth vision for this area. For myself, I am glad to see this happening in our area. Concert venue, awesome. More stores and restaurants great. Jobs and opportunity, awesome... The Valley Ranch expansion has benefited our quality of life in a ton of ways. Has not everyone gone to the new Valley Ranch restaurants or shopped at the Kroger's or the Academy? It's a good thing these people are investing in our neglected zip code for the betterment of all.
