What next? A Medical Marijuana Dispensary? Porter needs cleaned up - not another place to buy alcohol. It also needs people who work for the county to ACTUALLY work FOR our area too. It's getting really tiresome to drive around, seeing the neglect that is supposed to be the responsibility of our county. Makes one wonder where our tax dollars are going because I certainly don't see anything happening for our little town.

People who want to buy alcohol are going to buy alcohol, even if they have to drive to get it. The upside is that the liquor taxes will now go to Montgomery County rather than Harris.

I don't have any issue with adults having alcohol, as that is their right. However, I do have concern with the direction this community is going. My family moved here in 1960. It used to be a great place to live & raise kids. Now there is SO MUCH crime, alcoholic drivers, drug addicts running rampant. And yes!! More tax $$ from Spec's! Too bad we can't afford police to drive past neighbors who drunk party outside every week, shoot cannons, drive 4 wheelers on other people's property, etc. (Yes, it's been reported). Or ...maybe they could catch the people who fight dogs & keep them in a shed. Spec's is nice. Point is.....There's a nice one in Kingwood. 🤗

I'm new to Porter, where is this located at ??? I'm glad it's opening here I didn't like the one in KINGWOOD,,,have
to drive all the way there. I'm sure it's opening before Christmas. Yay..

It's on the NE corner of 1314 at the freeway, not far from Wally-World.

Was just by there this morning and noticed a "NOW OPEN" sign posted...

Stopped by the new Spec's today! Nice place and it was jam packed! Glad to see all of those tax dollars coming to Montgomery County instead of Humble and Kingwood!

@D1050 : Unfortunately, that's life. The good people move out of a city's limits to get away from the bad elements, but it always catches up to them.
