On Wednesday, March 6, 2019, in the 359th District Court of Montgomery County, (Judge Damico presiding for Judge Kathleen Hamilton) Defendant Jeffrey Pittman (47, Porter) pleaded guilty to the felony offenses of Continuous Sexual Assault of a Child and Sexual Assault of a Child. Pittman was then sentenced to 30 years confinement in TDCJ-ID on the Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child charge and to 20 years TDCJ-ID on the other charge. These sentences will run concurrently and Pittman will not be eligible for parole, and will not be released until completion of his 30 year sentence.According to reports from investigators, in March of 2018, Detective Foreman, with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, began investigating an offense involving child sexual abuse. It was discovered that the Defendant had been taking inappropriate photographs of his minor stepdaughter. Special Agent Nathan Curry with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security-Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), also with the Internet Crimes Against Children Division at Montgomery County District Attorney's Office, joined MCSO in the investigation. Special Agent Curry and Detective Foreman determined that Defendant was a wildland firefighter employed by Texas A&M Forest Service. A forensic download of the Defendant's phone revealed numerous images of Child Pornography including images of his minor stepdaughter.
