October's Pumpkin Patch Express

anyone here ever done this?

Available at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday, October 6 - 28, 2018

Unleash the kids this harvest season and set them loose in a Pumpkin Patch full of interactive games, prizes, tricks and treats! Kids of all ages love the ride aboard the historic rails from the Rusk depot to Texas State Railroad's very own Pumpkin Patch. It's a short 30-minute train ride with departure times at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.. All passengers, young and old, are encouraged to come attired in their Halloween finest.

The 90-minute layover at the Pumpkin Patch includes hayrides, spooky tunes and other seasonal music. Tiny boos and ghouls also enjoy hopping in the bounce house and trick-or-treating on our very own "Trick or Treat Street." Every child can pick out his or her own pumpkin to take home for jack-o-lantern creating. Delicious lunch items are available for purchase.

I haven't but I've heard that train is really neat and during Christmas they do a really big event as well. I'd like to check it out sometime.

@Pande11 : I've taken my son on the polar express ride in risk. it's good but pricey. I'm looking to try the one in grapevine for the kids this year.

How much are tickets? I'm new to the area and am interested in things to do with our 2 and 4 year old grandsons.

Is this in Rusk? The Polar Express was great but pricey

30 adult/20 kid 2-12 and higher depending on seating.....open air coach could be nice in October but at Christmas that would be cold! Prices at least 20 $ higher for Polar Express

@Raysgirl : It is in Rusk, which is about 130 miles from us. it's around 28 a ticket, there are some cheaper and some more expensive. w the tax it's 86.60 for 3 of us.

@carol888 : if hate open air seating if it happened to rain. to me it's worth paying a little more to make sure I'm dry!

@carol888 : thank you. we didn't get an open air seating but they do have a pumpkin patch and festivities off the train. I think we are there for about 90 min
