So I have been in Rockport and the devastation is still there! Very few things are really up and running. The church went to Sunday, has so much work to do. Yet VBS starts in a week and they are really pushing thru, stain glass windows still need to be repaired. My Aunt and Uncle owned this house on Key Allegro and several hurricanes did damage, after fighting with the state they got approval for a new bulk head, but uncle was too sick and they sold house. The house in by the golf course had a lot of damage but it has been fixed

I went to Rockport on Mothers day ,just remember if you plain on going to the Park beach they only have the Porta Potties. The baths and showers are still being repaired. We had a great time on Mothers Day.Beach was clean. There were restaurants but not a lot to choose from.Still rebuilding. Not a lot of Hotels to stay at.Plain ahead on Hotels.Other then that we had a great day at the beach.

I was rv living there when the hurricane hit. Of course I bailed before "all the action" happened. I w ent back two weeks ago to take care of some business. Seems like the same old Rockport to me. All major stores up and running. There might be some problems with homeowners having repairs but for the most part all shops and stores up and going.

The RV park (Ancient Oaks) said they were gonna be full for the winter with snowbirds (winter Texans), and it seems services are restored pretty well throughout the area.
