The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help identifying the suspect who robbed the Cash Store in Porter at gunpoint.
According to reports from MCSO, on May 29, 2018, around 2:20 pm, Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to 23607 Kelly Joe Smith Road in reference to an aggravated robbery. While in route, Deputies were advised that a black male suspect with a handgun had robbed the Cash Store at the above address.
Once Deputies arrived and interviewed witnesses, they learned that the suspect entered the store and attempted to get a title loan. The suspect said he needed to get his identification from his car and left the store. Upon returning inside, the suspect displayed a silver, semi-automatic pistol and demanded money from the Cash Store employees. They complied by placing an undisclosed amount of money into bags and handing it to the suspect. The suspect then left the location.
Deputies believe this suspect could be linked to previous aggravated robberies in Harris County and Montgomery County.
The suspect is described as a black male with dreadlocks, about 5'5" tall. He was wearing ripped acid washed blue jeans and a black zippered jacket.
