I've been asking my husband the same question for years, lol. I keep telling him how I desperately wish an H. E. B. Would pop up closer to home! I'm crossing my fingers. I just love H. E. B. 's organics and in store made products!

How about an Aldi's?

@Bilbobaggins They are building an Aldi in Kingood, right off Kingwood Dr. It's where the old Sears hardware used to be at the end of the shopping strip that has Stein Mart in it. It's supposed to open in November of this year. Really looking forward to that!

@cswilson Yes, I know. But if they can't drive to Kingwood for an HEB, they certainly won't for an Aldi.

According to an HEB public relations rep for the area, EMC is not on the short list for one of their stores...Yet.

Figures.... They got the Super Kroger store to build there and probably have something in the contract regarding other big-box grocery stores. I'd like to see an H.E.B. go in too, but it's most likely not going to be in Valley Ranch Town Center. I've heard that H.E.B. prefers to build on their own land. X your fingers.

yes, please start a petition! I would love to have an HEB closer than the 12 miles I have to drive now. Since the Kingwood HEB is so far away, I shop there only every 2 weeks or so and have to settle on other stores closer to home. So sad!

The Kroger in Valley Ranch really should have been an HEB.
