Do you plan to get the new MRNA Flu vaccine?
The CDC has approved the vaccine for those 50+, Medicare will cover it, and major drug stores will be providing it. Reports say it can better target the currently circulating flu strains than the conventional vaccine. It's estimated to be a 27% improvement over the current vaccines.

@otto :
I wasn't aware of the new vaccine till I saw your post. I always get a flu shot, and will definitely opt for this one.

@NewCaneyDotCom : Why did this post get relegated to the "Fast Lane?" I don't see anything sensitive, inflammatory or controversial about it.

@otto :
I agree with you! But I'm sure that in today's world, vaccines are considered a political topic.

It's situational. If we are going to go to HI to see the grand and at that time newborn grand, then yes. That is a lot of airtime and I want to keep the kiddos and myself safe. If not, probably not as my road warrior days are behind me.

@LyleLanley , I deliver Meals-on-Wheels to people every week. I feel it's important not to spread illness along with the meals. All of the folks on my route are elderly, most of them older than I am, so I get flu and Covid shots every year. HHS Secretary Kennedy is providing a great disservice to the country with his anti-vaccine views. Measles and polio are both on the rise thanks to him. I'm relieved to learn that Erica Schwartz. the newly confirmed CDC director, is a vaccine believer.
