New Caney ISD Students Turn Parking Spots Into Their Own Canvasing in Preparation for the School Year

Students are adding their own creativity to campus ahead of the new school year by transforming their assigned parking spaces into colorful works of art. The hand-painted designs feature unique themes, patterns and personal touches as New Caney ISD prepares to welcome most students back this Thursday, August 6th.

Which painted parking spot is your favorite?

@txmusil , I was unaware that students had assigned parking spaces. Back in the dark ages when I attended H.S. only faculty and administration were permitted to park on school grounds. Students were SOL and encouraged to walk to school or ride the school bus.

@txmusil :
The video went so fast that it was difficult to pick one. But they all look nice. That's a cool way for the students to add their personal touch! I've seen friends post pics of their students doing this, and it takes a lot of thought and effort.

"Walk" to school!? In this day and age!? What sort of barbarian parent would you be to subject your little entitled prince/princess to such a torturous task. I see parents who live two blocks away giving their younger fur-less pets rides to and from the local academic campuses. And the older ones must have a vehicle no more than five years of age, and of course paid for by the parent.
(On the good side, some of those kids do a great job of decorating their assigned space. But then others hire to have it done for them. That should be outlawed.)

@Bloom : If you click on the image you can stop the playback. Click again to restart it. I liked "If you're reading this, I'm probably late." @SarcasmWins : We did have a bike rack that students who rode their bicycles to school could use. Small town. Small school. Grades Kindergarten - thru - 12th in the same building, total students fewer than 200.

@otto :
Thanks for info on how to stop & start the video. I wanted to look at them, but got dizzy trying to do that.
