@Cbear : Your first one reminds me of my former MIL. She took her Mercedes to the dealership complaining that it made a weird clunking sound whenever she stepped on the brake. The mechanic took it for a test drive. When he returned, he handed her a metal coat hanger and a Coke bottle that he'd found under the driver's seat.

@DixieDee : Glad that you enjoyed friend. It is so hot and people have been grumpy so I thought we needed a chuckle to lighten the mood. I dread the next light bill!

@Cbear : So glad we have balanced billing. Otherwise would be afraid to open the light bill. Emoticon

@DixieDee : I don't think my carrier offers that. For me, the pool running 10 hours per day hurts alot.

@Cbear : I would think your A/C would use lots more electricity than your pool pump. Unless, of course, you're heating the pool water.

@otto : Well what I meant was the pool can potentially add up to $100 per month to the bill which is already high due to the A/C. Example, my last bill was $315. Without the pool it may have only been $250. Running the motor 9 hours a day adds up. Example: If it is 80 degrees today, pool motor runs for 8 hours. 90 degrees = 9 hours.

@Cbear : I don't understand. Is that air temperature or water temperature, and how does the temperature relate to how many hours the pump runs? I've never had a pool, but that sounds very weird.

@otto : Ok. If the outdoor temperature is 85, pump should run about 8.5 hours in order to properly circulate water and chemicals.
