Some eclipse pictures from the Waco area. Otto did you get to see the eclipse? We didn't find the traffic to be too bad going or coming. We enjoyed it thoroughly! ♥️

botanylover : Yes, it was really neat. We ran into a 6-mile backup caused by the stop lights in Hearne, but still arrived in plenty of time. We stopped at a park in the little town of Marlin, SE of Waco. The sun had been playing peek-a-boo through the clouds, but the skies completely cleared a few minutes before totality. Perfect view. You got some great shots. I tried to take a picture with my phone during totality, but it came out as just a fuzzy blob. We had toyed with the idea of staying home since the weather was so "iffy." Glad we made the trip.

Glad both of you had a successful trip! I haven't had a chance to talk to my DD to know how theirs went. We watched news coverage on tv, and that was neat. They showed it from different locations, and it seemed each view was a little different.

otto : I'm so glad that the skies were clear where you were and that you enjoyed it! We were just north west of Waco and the clouds literally went away right before the eclipse started and then came back as soon as the eclipse was done. It was crazy! We are very thankful that we went as well. Definitely an experience that was worth the effort!

Otto: all of the pictures were mine except for the first one. None of us got a good eclipse picture, not even those of us with fancy cameras. The first one I shared was taken by a friend of one of the ladies who was with me. The lady was at a school, and we don't know yet what she used to be able to get that picture. I have another friend and she got perfect pictures of the entire eclipse! But she's one that's not afraid to spend money on things that she needs when she needs them. 🙃

I will attach two of my friend's photos. She got photos like this of the entire eclipse! But, as I said, she's not afraid to spend money for things that are needed.
