Birders and hikers of all skill levels are invited to join park naturalists and volunteers for a closer look at the wildlife in Jones Park on a leisurely stroll of about two miles on sandy, paved and gravel trails.

Help survey birds in the park using the eBird and Merlin Bird ID apps on your cell phone; data collected is used by Houston Audubon. Participants can earn volunteer service hours for community organizations and Texas Master Naturalists.

Wear closed-toed shoes and bring a reusable water bottle and binoculars (we have some to borrow, too). Ages 10+. Meet in front of the nature center.
