Birders of all skill levels are invited to join park naturalists and volunteers for a full day of birding as part of the annual Christmas Bird Count for the Lake Houston–Humble Circle through the National Audubon Society. Participants will help identify and count bird species across several parks throughout the day. The day begins with an owl prowl at Jesse H. Jones Park and continues with general birding stops at multiple locations. Participants should wear closed-toed shoes and bring a reusable water bottle and binoculars. Ages 10 and up are welcome. A feeder watch option is also available at the Wild Birds Unlimited store on Kingwood Drive. Registration is required.
