2 Arrested For A String Of Local Burglaries
Anthony Markowski (30) of Kingwood and Rawlin Trent (45) of Houston have been arrested in connection with a slew of burglaries in the area.
The Pct. 4 Constable’s Office and MCSO have been investigating more than 20+ burglary incidents in the last few months. Each time a burglary happened, law enforcement gathered more clues about the suspects and their methods of burglarizing the buildings. Along with this information and video evidence from several locations, vehicle and suspect descriptions were found. Deputies were able to identify one of the suspects. They received information that one of the suspects may have been injured during the most recent burglary and started checking area hospitals/clinics in hopes he was seeking medical treatment. Upon checking a hospital at 610 and Ella, Markowski was located and arrested. It was also discovered that Markowski had previously received 98 stitches in his groin area after injuring himself at one of the burglaries.
Deputies then learned the identity of Markowski’s accomplice, Rawlin Trent, and that he frequents the Tidwell and Highway 59 area. They were able to locate Trent quickly, along with a stolen vehicle used in many of the burglaries. With assistance from Houston PD, Trent was taken into custody in the parking lot of a nearby motel. He had several burglary warrants issued by Houston PD as well.
Among some of the burglaries...The Shell gas station in Splendora was hit once, Fish Tales in New Caney 3 times, and the Shell gas station at FM 1314/Timberland in Porter 4 times.
