Deputies Get More Meth Off The Streets
On 3/11/16, Montgomery County Pct. 4 deputies stopped a car near the intersection of 242 & 1485 for a seatbelt violation and not using their turn signal. A records check showed the driver, Mark Ruiz had an active felony warrant. Upon the warrant being confirmed and Ruiz's arrest, he requested that his belongings be given to his ex-wife who was at a nearby gas station. When asked why, Ruiz stated that he was going to jail for a long time because of what deputies were going to find in his car. In the backseat, deputies located just over 27grams of methamphetamines. Also with the methamphetamines, deputies found a scale, spoon, a shot glass, all with residue and almost 100 small clear plastic baggies, all of which are commonly used for narcotics sale and use. Mark was also charged with possession of methamphetamines.
Constable Kenneth “Rowdy” Hayden said, “Its guys like this that are filtering the illegal narcotics through our neighborhoods. I’m proud of my guys for getting this guy off the street”.
