Escapee Arrested In Porter
On Wednesday, February 10, 2016, at approximately 3:45 PM, Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division were dispatched to a warrant service, at the Palace Inn Hotel, in the 24000 block of US Highway 59, in Porter, Texas.
Information was received that a male identified as Jeffery Scott Mays, (date of birth 12/11/1986), was inside a room at this location. Mr. Mays was showing a warrant out of the Saline County Sheriff’s Office, in Benton, Arkansas, for escape from custody. Mr. Mays reportedly escaped from custody on February 3, 2016. Several patrol units responded to the location and were able to locate Mr. Mays hiding in a room. Mr. Mays was taken into custody without incident. Mr. Mays was transported to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Justice Complex, in Conroe, where he will await extradition back to Arkansas.
