Armed Robbery in Porter

On Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at approximately 6:55 PM, Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division were dispatched to a robbery that had occurred at a business, Cash Store, in the 23600 block of Kelly Joe Smith, in Porter, Texas.

Upon Deputies arrival, it was reported two males entered the location with one brandishing a gun. The males reportedly ordered the store clerks and a customer on location to the ground. The suspects demanded money from the clerks. The clerks at the location complied with the demands of the suspects. The suspects then fled the location from a back door with an undisclosed amount of cash from the business. The suspects were witnessed getting into a dark colored sedan and headed west on FM 1314. No one was injured during the robbery. Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office units responded to the location but were unable to locate the actors.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Units and Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigators responded to the location to conduct an investigation. The investigation is on-going and investigators are in the process of reviewing evidence.

Descriptions of the suspects are two black males wearing dark clothing and Halloween style masks.
