New Caney ISD Approves $173 Million Bond PackageThe New Caney Independent School District approved a $173 million bond package that will help the district arrange to better accommodate the growing student population (the anticipated growth of the years to come), and help to keep the high-standards of education facilities in the community up to par. The new bond package hopes to bring 3,500 new classrooms to the community, and three new school campuses. In addition to the new facilities, the bond also puts funds towards desirable renovations and necessary improvements for thirteen existing school campuses. According to New Caney ISD Superintendednt Kenn Franklin, the proposed projects will start moving forward once the school starts to sell bonds, which could be as soon as this year.
