Pursuit in New Caney Ends With Wreck Around 4:15am this morning (10/17/16), a Pct. 4 deputy was attempting to stop a vehicle for running a red light when a blue Chevy truck exited the parking lot of a gas station at a high rate of speed, heading in the direction of the deputy, then turned down FM 1485 from Loop 494. The deputy quickly turned around and attempted to stop the blue Chevy truck. The truck did not stop and the deputy initiated a pursuit. The deputy reported the truck was reaching speeds of 100MPH. The pursuit ended when the truck collided with a large tree in the 25200 block of Country Estates Dr. The driver, Azael Ivan Vazquez (18, New Caney) was the sole occupant of the truck and was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. It is unclear why Vazquez did not stop for law enforcement. Multiple felony and misdemeanor charges are pending and the investigation is still ongoing. www.facebook.com/MCC onstablePct4/?fref=t s
