The Dino Park was a huge scam, and EMCID plowed millions into it...and undoubtedly still is. We're all paying for it with our tax dollars in the things EMCID could have provided, but didn't. It was supposed to be built on land west of 59/69 currently being developed by Tavlola. You can read about it here.

@otto : Why are they allowed to keep getting money and throwing it towards that dino park. That was a scam and there were officials involved in it. Wasn't that investigated. I thought there was an injunction on it. Anybody go to jail over it??

@Sweetie : Alas, nobody went to jail. EMCID incurred huge debts in the process, and those debts have to be paid. Frank McCrady kept saying, "But we own the intellectual property!"

That was just never going to happen. Who do you think is going to come out here to see fake dinosaurs when they can see one of the paleontology exhibits in the world downtown in Houston Museum of Natural Science. That is a world class exhibit and put together by some of the best paleontologists in the world. A dino park in this area cannot compete. They have the entire history of the planet there in fossils. They have multiple t rex skeletons. They have a whole lot more. Why would anybody want to spend money on plastic in New Caney when they can go downtown and see the best put on by some of the world's best. And its already open and you can go see it today.

@Bloom : It's grown a ton in the last two years alone! It's really booming.

@Hecate : The only reason might be if a family is traveling to NC area for the water park up there and would be drawn in to a Dino park as well. That way they wouldn't have to drive down into the gut of town for the real museum.
