Paid Internship Available To Students
The East Montgomery County Scholarship Foundation (EMCSF), a non-profit subsidiary of the East Montgomery County Improvement District (EMCID), will offer a paid work study program for three students — one each from New Caney, Porter and Splendora high schools — this fall.
The 10-week program, which will begin on or about September 1, 2016, is for those who are interested in learning how EMCID's economic, community and educational development programs impact the community and who want to advance their knowledge and skills in business, communications or event planning. Upon successful completion of the program, the student will receive $750.
Students attending Infinity Early College High School and Splendora Early College High School are also eligible to apply.
Criteria:
- Completed application must be received by August 1.
- Must have passed the 11th grade but will not have graduated prior to September 1, 2016.
- Previous knowledge of and desire to advance skills in accounting, business, communications, festival and event planning, general office, journalism, photography, public relations, or travel and tourism
- Must have reliable transportation.
