I haven't seen a post on here about Tavola. I think we need a post for everyone moving into Tavola.
I'm moving into my new home on April 28 and wanted to get to know some neighbors. How is it so far? Are you liking your new home? Look forward to hearing from everyone.

I'm wondering about Tavola too...we're considering buying a home there.

The homes (well some of 'em) look nice, but the lots are awfully small. Pricey, too.

Most new developments now have tiny lots. Some people like that though with less maintenance.

In regards to Tavola, the pond looks good. they just need to get with Roman Forrest and update/remove those roman post up front.

Restoration of those columns is underway. The lion's head and the city name have been removed to be refurbished. Tavola is participating in the cost for the restoration.

We close on our home in Tavola next week. As far as the lot sizes go, we are in a cul-de-sac so we have a nice sized back yard, front is a little small but oh well. We are looking forward to getting into the home and meeting some of our neighbors.

Our home is currently under construction and slated to finish by the end of June. We upgraded to a cul de sac lot as well. Paid more, but no rear neighbors and the kids will love the big back yard. We currently rent in Atascocita and can't wait to move into our own home!

Will be closing on a home in the summer. Can't wait until all the amenities are up and finished around the neighborhood, anyone that's currently living in the neighborhood know a good yard guy?

Who are the builders and what are the prices running? This must be a new area for I haven't heard of them until now. Thanks

@ScarlettnRhett

Tavola is a big deal and has been going on for a while...

Lennar & Perry are the Home Builders...$180k - $300k price range.
The developer is Friendswood, same (original) developer as Kingwood.

On full build out, there are expected to be about 12,000 people in Tavola.

@ScarlettnRhett Tavola started building out last Summer. I believe that the sales consultant told me that it was a 10 year project.

We ended up not buying a house in Tavola. Loved the homes...just wasn't too sure about the schools.

We closed on our home in Tavola on Monday and moved in yesterday. We really like our floor plan and the amenities offered with the home. Schools weren't a concern for us since we have no children. Roman Forest PD patrols the neighborhoods as well as Montgomery County.

@grooveman Grooveman, we're slated to close on our home in July. How did your closing process go? Which builder did you go with and how accurate were they with their estimated closing when you first signed the paperwork and when you actually closed? Sorry for all of these questions lol

We went with a Lennar home that was already under construction. They were able to get everything done and the yard sod within the timetable they promised us. The closing was also within the expected time frame. We did not use their lender though.

We also went with Lennar and are trying to close on Tuesday. We did not use their financing company either but someone dropped the ball. Lennar is blaming it on my mortgage company and they are blaiming it on Lennar. We are now 2 business days out and need 7 to technically close. Well see what happens. They have to get the survey company out and a VA appraiser out this weekend. At least Vennie with Lennar is telling me the tricks to light a fire under their a** to get it closed on time.
