New Caney ISD Bond Election

The New Caney Independent School District Board will put a 173 million dollar bond up for residents to vote on in the May elections.

The bond would cover purchase of new land, new school buildings, and renovation to existing schools.

This is over an above the bond they just got last year?

Maybe we need to see some results first before continuing to give them an open checkbook

Sorry, their money management needs to get better. Which schools are so bad they need to be replaced?

So where is the return on that wasted investment of a stadium that sits empty 85% of the year?

Make them fix what is here. Tear down is total BS. Schools can be and should be kept up. This is nothing more then the valley ranch expansion.
If people were smart enough to dand taxes put on new houses to pay for new schools, roads etc etc. then we could have something to talk about.

I know bond elections are hot topics, but this district is growing at an incredible rate. When I talk with teachers from other school districts they are shocked at our growth. We are the fastest growing district in the Houston area. Like it or not, we are going to have to expand. Schools are a major draw for a community, and we need to keep up.

@heavy-d -- will they really tear it down, or just abandon it?
