Allegations could mean serious trouble for Montgomery County Constable's Office

An "interesting" article from The Houston Press was sent to us which is very critical of the Constable's Office for allegedly lying on an affidavit to violate the rights of a New Caney resident in an illegal search and seizure.

The evidence came to light from a 2011 "Cops" style video that show events which transpired are different than the official report on the affidavit.

A day after this article was published The Houston Press released a second article which criticizes Scott Engle of The Montgomery County Police Reporter for his strong ties to local law enforcement. The article reveals that Engle's partner, Jamie Nash, works for Constable Hayden. The Houston Press alleges that this connection creates an ethical conflict of interest as a reporter.

@Drekonix These are simply allegations. Interesting article but what will be more interesting is when all of the facts are revealed.

illegal search and seizure? The Constable's office is just taking the trampling of our constitutional rights from their leader, the Mayor....

The Montgomery County Constables are a bunch of confused dogs with no leash. Whoever lied to them and told them that they were more than the publics "step and fetch it's" ought to be brought up on charges. They are worst police department I've ever had to deal with and one day those smart **** are going to pop off to the wrong meth head. That will be a story worth reading in the police reporter....

@Michael Watson. I'm real curious to see the outcome aswell. I will also ask you this once again since I never recieved a answer on your FB group Splendora Folks. Not only did I not recieve a answer but this same article was posted there and deleted along with myself amongst many others when we spoke our mind and it wasnt in agreeing with u, precint 4 or MCPR. None of your rules were broken? Please enlighten us on why if we don't agree with u and your friends we don't deserve to be heard. Kinda bias if you ask me!!

Great job!! We hope to hear more on this matter and pray you invest more time and resources to get answers to a lot of questions that are unanswered on both these matters. We would also like to see some reports on the legality of the road blocks that are being covered as DUI check points and how they are actually a violation of the law!!

Any officer of the law that is on a call is on high alert the entire time, adrenaline is pumping and nerves are high. Do you expect a report written hours later to be exactly the same as the real deal. NO.
Not one person that I know can tell the same story 2-4 times and say the exact same thing that actually happened. I personally know Constable Hayden and many of his deputies, I also find that I know several of the people they arrest and deal with on a daily basis. I would like to Thank his department for taking each "meth head", user and dealer off the street! That is one less THUG to interact with my child!

I think the constables are doing a great job, If you are not doing anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about.Seems to me the one;s crying so loud have had a problem. So if the shoe fits wear it and shut up. GOOD JOB BOYS keep it up.

I love our officers here, they do a great job and if people weren't breaking the laws of the land, they wouldn't be ticked off.

Come on, just do what's right and follow the laws and everyone will get along.

That's their job, so you are saying if that brake rules or laws then it is ok. I was a combat solider and tensions ran high all the time, but we would not kill civilians, and I am not saying they have killed anyone but they do think they are above the law and they do bend and break the rules

Is this the place where that ridiculous idiot makes the men wear pink in prison and all that dumb **** is? If so they should really have their heads examined anyone who thinks that's a bright idea should try drugs it may improve their thinking..fire them all and get honest law abiding policemen etc..and when the" bad guys" get caught justice will be done and seem fair. Crooked cops are far worse than most civilian criminals. If police are just going to take the drugs home n do them themselves or make a dollar off them then I say let the real drug dealers sell the dope.
